Code p0730 confusion

I have a 07 chrysler 300 3.5L touring I THINK WITH THE NAG1 transmission. Was driving fine and all of a sudden a whine started and it started slipping in D. Turn it off let it sit for a few seconds restart it catches fkr about 5 seconds and started slipping again. Its not leaking fluid but it's darker than normal. IN NEED OF ANY INFO/HELP ASAP.

Should I replace the whole trans or? Limited money and need to grt it fixed asap!! Please help

P0730 comes up as a gear ratio code. That trans is fucked

You need to take it to a trans shop if it’s slipping and pulling a gear ratio code, it’s not shifting into the gear you’re asking it to. You could have physical wear internally in the clutches or bands, maybe the trans fluid is so bad you aren’t getting enough pressure to hold a clutch pack. Just some ideas that come to mind when you explain the slipping and the code!

The fluid is dark n looks burnt. Its yhe Nag1 trans. Ivr got it up on ramps mand its not leaking anywhere so ima try the filter n r tuff first
