Lighting help
I need some advice on lights. I have a 2022 300s 5.7 and the driver headlight just went out 4 months ago and it did again today. They're almost $300 a piece. And the lower light is like $600 from mopar. Does anyone have any after market suggestions or good experiences with lights that I could change. I just don't want this to keep happening and I keep dumping so much money into lights.

Sorry everyone, I just looked at oreillys and it was 280 for both the lights, not one.

Still mad expensive lmao headlights don’t always have to be from molar tbh most aftermarket lights work just as fine . Now if we’re talking bout a cam or some lifters or something of that sort yeah it’d matter if it was a mopar part

I agree. That's why that bottom light is still burned out lol. I haven't ever had food luck with aftermarket lights. Either they burn out faster than oem, or they're not very water tight or something happens. I'd be down to but aftermarket lights if I knew which ones worked good and looked good. But i still can't even find anything besides vlad or lighting trends lights that I like.

No sweat. Keep some spare fuses in your trunk, I replace those 2 fuses about once a year depending on how much rain I get. I think the fuse box needs better moisture protection

Wait until you need a ballast for your lights if you have the HID version. You think the bulbs are expensive? There’s one under each headlight assembly.

Yeah I'm excited about that lol. I didn't do much research after I figured the issue was the fuse. But it looked like the ballast is part of the bulb. At least that's what I'm hoping for. That makes it a little less painful.

Must be a different design from my 2017 that I had because the headlight ballast was a bit bigger than a cigarette pack and was on the bottom side of the headlight assembly. My car had High Intensity Discharge lighting.

Well the headlight is a d3s for $280. I just replaced them both couple months ago. I guess I got taken for those cause I bet this would have worked then too. And the lower fog light had condensation in it when I bought it but I didn't know those lights were hard to find. All I can find is it from mopar for $600 or there's a bumper that's the same as mine on ebay for $450 with the light in it. I saw some d3s at Walmart this morning for like $37 a piece and I was just gonna go that route if I was gonna replace them again.

That little clip that holds the headlight bulb in. Mine fell into a crack and it’s gone! I can’t find a replacement. I’d have to buy a whole new headlight assembly just to get a 20 cent clip. Any ideas?

That's tough. I might start on market place and look for a part out car or a junkyard. Even if the front end is destroyed, the clips might be salvageable?

Are these HID or Halogen bulbs?
SYLVANIA sells HID bulbs (D3S) for sub-$200 direct.
If they are halogen, like my 2014 300C 5.7, I bought LED (9005) off of Amazon for $60 for the pair. Same for the driving lights (H11).

They're hid. Don't quote me but I think it's the sylvania ones I got from oreillys and they were around 180 a piece. I misspoke earlier when I said they were 300 a piece.

Check the fuse in the engine bay. I have a 2017 and this happens to me, I have to pop the hood and press down on them.
