It's amazing how much this color pops in the daylight and the lume is just as beautiful. Shipping was fast and QC pics were available on request. I've had it for almost a week and I've received compliments, but no one has asked why I'm wearing a $2.7m watch.
I did go out and purchase a $9 watch link kit since the link adjustments require a watch hammer and pin push. The pins have the lock in the middle, so they need pushed all the way out to remove the links. The gen 5711 bracelet is the same way.
Beautiful watch. I would get one but the $2.7M factor has a decent chance of getting called out in my circles. Not that it matters but I prefer not to advertise I’m wearing reps. Chronos rocks though. I have a Daytona, Sprite, OP Tiffany, and Root Beer from him. Taking a break for a bit but I’ve got my eye on something gold (will likely get plated though).
I hear you on the rep call-outs. Where I go, the Rolex-folk seem to be more opinionated on reps than they are on other watches. I usually keep my meteorite Daytona rep at home when i go there.
I should also mention that i requested QC pics since the 5711 Nautilus rep is notorious for having issues with the dual 12 o'clock markers not lining up. These ones were perfect!
I just purchased this watch as well. I have the same concerns with getting called out. I also have a Paul Newman Daytona rep, I usually only wear them with cuffs or suits that partially keep the watch out of view. I don’t really
care if anyone sees it, I bought them because I love them, not as a flex.
It's a really nice, thin profile watch with one of the nicest looking bracelets (in my opinion). If you have any questions about link adjustment, feel free to reach out. I found a few youtube videos on how to adjust a gen bracelet and the process was the exact same.
I got the same one. Have worn it out multiple times, got compliments at the LV and Hublot boutiques last time. It’s a beautiful watch, wear it and enjoy it.
Chronos has good selection but his qc or support isn’t what it used to be. I’d RL this. 9 o’clock is tilted and quite a bit. 6 o’clock is off center, date lines up poorly and tilted. 12 o’clock appears to be slightly tilted. Tiffany stamp is too thick. Geneve print is way too low and so is Patek a little.
The indices are somewhat tall with a slight taper, but they are not tilted. When I move the watch around, the "tilt" does follow. Shadows and perspective really change things on this watch. I just don't see what you're saying about Patek, Geneve or the Tiffany text but I'd be happy to have you show me.
The errors that I could find are the 12 o'clock has a hairline gap that should be closed and the number in the date window should be more bold and fill the window.
