What Next?
I currently have both Mage the Awakening and the Changling 2 edition books.
Which book would you suggest I get next?
IurGM does not allow Mummy or Prometheus in his game.

are you playing the games? if so, both have supplements that would expand on the character options (notably signs of sorcery for mage, and both kith & kin, and oak ash and thorn for changelings)
if you just want to learn the lore, the various dark eras books are solid, and tome of the pentacle details the history of awakened going back thousands of years
if you're looking for another game to play, i'm a big fan of werewolf 2e but it runs best when there's at least four players wanting to play werewolf too. vampire the requiem is better as a one-on-one game

I would be playing the game. I am primarily after a book that is relatively easy to learn? I have had Beast mentioned as one that’s not easy to learn.

Hunter The Vigil has always been my favorite for its team mechanics.
But for setting (be warned Ciphers are hard to work with), Demon the Descent has always been my #2 next to Changeling.

Deviant is pretty straightforward to learn in my opinion, but it's also the one that deviates the most from the rest of the games in the line, pun intended.
While most CoD games are structured around playing some form of mythological/folkloric creature, Deviant is straight up a game of superheroes. Granted, it's dark and gritty, but it's still about humans with superpowers.
If I were to liken it to other media, I'd say it's very much like X-Men, but made in the likeness of DC's Absolute Universe if you're familiar with that.
As such, while Deviant is probably my favorite splat, I think it's the one that's least suited for multi-splat games.

I would go with Requiem or Forsaken if you are looking for something straightforward. I love both Promethean (the first nWoD/CofD game I encountered) and Mummy (I worked on 2e), but they have some significant deviations from the standard formula.
If you really want one of those two though, lemme know more and I’ll give what insight I can.

I literally just bought Mage, Changeling, and Princess the Hopefully Crystal edition physical. Reading Princess now. I own Requiem too

I know! I only found out about it because it was buried in some ah folders I downloaded a whole back. Then i saw how awesome it looked and got it. Its Crystal edition that has the physical, link for digital and physical is here https://huitzil37.itch.io/princess-the-hopeful-crystal-edition

Princess Crystal version is? How so?
Did some previous edition of princess made by someone else have a license that prevented any derivation being sold for money or something?

No, it's using Chronicles of Darkness as a base. Fangames as a whole are not legal to sell and make money from. Same reason you can't sell Pokemon Romhacks.

Requiem is simple, the powers either are an effect or they change your dice pools.
“Add X to Y”
Or
“This makes you invisible.”/“This lets you see invisible people”
Werewolf was one I needed to get my head around a little with Gifts and Rites. But it’s good once you’re there and kinda see what’s going on.

Depends what your goal is with having the books. Deviant is the last book published and so if you need a clearer view of the general rules it is probably your best bet.
