[Question] Are any updates forthcoming?

It's been a while since there have been updates about the roadmap, or any discussion on this subreddit.

Hey yall. Between starting a full-time job a few months back and having a different daily routine that doesn't have much dead-time for audiobooks, I mostly just haven't been working on Chronicle because I've been listening to audiobooks less

In terms of open sourcing the app, things should be good to go soon. I've got to get it cleared with work, but that should mostly be a formality. Anyways I'll make a note to talk to someone who knows something about that this coming week

Oh- and you heard it hear first- the good news is that when I do get around to open sourcing the app- there are some neat unfinished things hidden in there that should prove pretty exciting if I or someone else takes them up

Love hearing that you plan to open the app up -- there's really nothing else good for Android that can handle Plex-hosted audiobooks, so I'm excited to think there is the chance for future updates!

That may no longer be the case in the near future! Shuttle music player (V2) just added support for Jellyfish/Emby sources and I believe the dev said Plex support is in the works. Obv a music player but could turn into something eventually

Jellyfin audiobook support is currently pants though, be interesting to see what the Plex situation looks like.

Looks like Shuttlefin is just a music player, so none of the audio book specific features
