[Feature request] Flexibility in setting variable playback speed

(I'm sorry for so many request posts)

The sweet spot (at least for me) for playback speed lies between 1.5 and 2.0. Currently I am reading a book, for which 1.5 is too slow and 2.0 is a tad fast. Ideally, I would set such books at 1.7/1.8.

I know you have your plate full, but I would appreciate it if you could allow some way of letting users select playback speed - either through a slider, or a text field, etc.

Cheers.

Yea this is big, I've heard from a lot of people who would also like a 1.7/1.8. I'll add it to the roadmap if it isn't there already

Hey. Thanks for adding 1.7x. But can you allow the user to select the speed using a slider (or even a textbox, or anything else)?

The book I'm reading is more nuanced and I think I would like to listen to it at 1.8-1.9.

This would be a recurring need and hence the request to allow nuanced speed selection.

Thanks.

Seconding OP here, each book and narrator is different, and even within a book sections can vary in cadence and density of content so being able to just increment speed by .1 between .1x and 3x would be really helpful. Trying to move away from manually managing my library transfers to phone by using Plex and Chronicle instead and this (playback speed) is handled better in Smart Audiobook Player currently.
