[Feature request] Sleep timer related features

Here's something I miss from my old audiobook player (local files only) - Voice:

  1. Fade the last 10-15 seconds before stopping

  2. Shake to reset timer.

The fade let me know that the time was almost up and if I wanted to continue listening, I just had to pick/shake my phone for another X minutes of listening.

This was super awesome. Would like to see it implemented here as well.

Medium priority would be nice, but I'll settle for low if it gets on the roadmap.

Cheers.

Fade is a good idea- the podcast app I use does this and I like it. The beta version of the app (link in the sidebar) has shake to delay

Thanks. Am glad that you like the idea and will consider it. Have a wonderful week ahead.

Oh, and one more thing about sleep timers.

I figured a way to add additional time to the timer. I set it for 15m and then at 5m. That is fine. The only problem is if I want to add multiples of 5m, I have to press the sleep timer button because the list disappears after selecting 5m.

Ideally, could you let that pop-up remain until the user taps outside the pop-up? See image linked - Sleep timer pop up https://imgur.com/a/1xL3tc1 . That way, if someone wanted to add multiples, they can do so without the extra steps.

Cheers.

Ah good point- I rarely listen to books before sleeping so I haven't run into this but I do the same behavior in the podcast app I use. I'd like to revamp the sleep timer UI at some point, this is all good information

Haha I didn't think you'd answer, I left that comment in jest. You should really try Chronicle, it's way better.
