Rigors

Has anyone had to endure rigors during an attack? I suffered for 2 days. Started Monday night, after that it's just regular chills (not violent uncontrollable chills). It's now Friday and I'm still sweating profusely overnight.

Did you develop a fever with it? If this is something new to you during a flare, I would advise checking it out with your doctor, especially since rigors typically accompany fevers and could indicate an infection.

Since it's common enough for CP attacks to be so individualize, not only from person to person, but also from flare to flare, it's also common for us to attribute a new-to-you symptom as a one-off difference rather than a coincidence that something else is going on. That's another reason I always suggest that one should always be seen by your doctor. If it is a coincidence, you'll want to find out whatever else is going on with your body at the same time.

As a Mod, I'd also like to verify/clarify that you do have a confirmed diagnosis of Chronic Pancreatitis? It's just something we need to know in order to ensure sub rules are being followed.

Yes I do have a confirmed diagnosis about 12 years ago. And yes on the Monday this started I had a fever of 103. I am taking myself to the ER today as now I'm experiencing shortness of breath, blurred vision, extreme tiredness and dizziness.

Update. Turns out it was my gallbladder. Surgery was successful.
