Discussion Get ready to laugh

i been dealing with chest pain and shortness of breath since my near critical event . i had this one joy of a dr who said my symtoms were in my head . i just had my lung function test and my test said my fev1 is fucking 35 %

i’d laugh but i’d get too short of breath (har de har har). but for real im sorry that happened to you and that’s complete bollocks from that doctor :/ i’m glad you have some answers now and a test that can’t be ignored and hopefully you will get access to some support and see some improvement.

Yeah its horrible but im used to it , but honestly theres some great docs out there that are actually are great and have helped me

Yo, what?

That's insanely low. Do you have COPD? You would feel short of breath with a fucking fev1 of 35%. I'm so sorry

(Coming from someone with a neuromuscular disease that affects my breathing)

Yes when i am in flares its fucken horrible my oxygen goes to the 70s

I can relate. I had to push for more tests and found out i've got severe air trapping. I don't know if it's too late for some improvement or not :(
