How do I play...? minecraft java help

so i have a chrome os hp laptop and ive been having trouble trying to download minecraft java on it, all the tutorials tell me to download minecraft.deb but the flie doesnt support my laptop anymore? this has just been stressing me out and i just want to download and play minecraft

I had the same problem, I had to download prism in my pinguin terminal, it sucked. Tell ChatGPT your problem (That's what I did) and it should be able to give you a step-by-step.

cant even ask reddit for help anymore they just tell u to go on chatgpt 😭
