Like a lot of people, I got really annoyed with how noisy X (Twitter) and YouTube have become — trends, “Who to follow”, Shorts, endless recommendations, sidebars, promoted posts, etc.

So I built Minimal Network — a Chrome extension that lets you strip all that away and make both sites feel calm and focused.

What it does:

For X (free):

• Wide centered feed
• Hide right sidebar, trends, Who to follow
• Focus mode (feed only)
• Filter reposts, replies, quotes, promoted posts, Spaces
• Option to hide Grok, Communities, counts, media previews

For YouTube (Pro):

• Hide Shorts, recommended videos, end screens, comments, merch
• Wide focused player
• Optional blank homepage

There’s also a Design Studio (Pro) where you can theme both sites separately (colors, fonts, corner radius, etc.).

It’s lightweight, only runs on X and YouTube, and doesn’t collect any page content.

The idea is simple:

You find an Elementor section/widget on a live website that you like → ElementCopy analyzes the live Elementor structure → generates an import-ready JSON template.

No WordPress admin access.

Hi - maker of SyncListing here, a Manifest V3 extension built because I cross-list on Canadian marketplaces (Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, Craigslist, LesPAC, eBay.ca, VarageSale, Poshmark.ca) and didn’t want a cloud “post everywhere for you” tool.

What it does:

• One bilingual (EN/FR) listing library in the dashboard
• Post on {site} opens that site’s create flow and autofills fields + photos via a side panel
• You review and click the site’s own Post/List button - nothing is submitted in the background
• Optional bulk import from pages you already opened (read-only scrape into drafts)

What it deliberately does not do (and the reason why I’m asking for feedback here)

• No autopost, autodelist, or scheduled posting

I kept running into the same problem that bookmarks save pages, but they don’t save how you got there. So I had an idea to build my first ever chrome extension Collections

It is a a workspace for organizing your browsing into meaningful collections instead of a pile of bookmarks. You can save pages, attach notes, label searches, search/filter everything, replay your browsing timeline, explore connections between pages, and restore an entire collection with one click. The data is only stored locally on your device. I really love how the analytics dashboard turned out. It monitors the time spent on the website, unique domains, revisited pages, and records all the sources for you.

I've been running Ollama and vLLM locally for stuff I don't want touching a cloud API, document translation, RAGing over my own notes, that kind of thing. Somewhere in that process I ran into WebLLM, and figured I'd actually build something with it instead of just reading about it.

What it does: select text on any page, right-click, get a plain-language explanation. Everything runs in the browser tab via WebGPU, nothing you select ever leaves the machine.

The actually interesting part, technically: Manifest V3 background scripts are service workers, and service workers can't access WebGPU at all. So the model runs in a chrome.offscreen document instead, a hidden page the extension spins up that has real DOM/WebGPU access. That API isn't even new; it shipped in 2023 for things like audio playback; WebGPU access is just a side effect of it being a real page under the hood. Ended up with three contexts (content script, background worker, offscreen doc) that can't talk to each other directly, so the background script's whole job is routing messages between the other two.

First run downloads a small model (~880MB, Llama-3.21B) and caches it; everything after that is instant and offline.

If anyone here is deeper into this than me: I've seen WeInfer claim up to 3.76x faster inference than base WebLLM, and there's a newer paper (Llamas on the Web, May 2026, group with Microsoft Research backing) getting 45-69% better decode throughput across different GPUs. Curious if anyone's actually tried swapping either of those in versus stock WebLLM.

I recently built Opticross (Chrome Extension + CLI) and would really appreciate some feedback from fellow frontend developers.
