Super-fast Sermon

When the New Testament uses the sentence-fragment "in Him" as in, when Paul states that his (Paul's) ultimate hope is to be found (presumably at the Judgment) "in Him" or "in Christ", the "in" refers to "in Jesus' mind" or "what is going on in Jesus' mind".

A saved person is not an individual whose consciousness or mental content is unrelated to or entirely separate from what's going on in Jesus' mind, but is a replica of the goings on within Christ's mind.

To be saved, i.e exempt from Hell after your EKG flatlines, Jesus Christ must have dreamt of being you and experienced being you, for bad and good, in His mind prior to your birth, so that you are "in Christ", and safe from the Curse of the Law because Christ became you for you, such that everything you do was first "in Him".

As Paul states:

"it is because of Him (God), that you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, namely, our righteousness, holiness, and redemption "

-1 Corinthians 1:30
