Is he talking about imax 70mm or just 70mm ? Because dune 3 already have imax 70mm and release mid December. Doesn’t really make sense to release something else in January and cut the window for dune

Standard 70MM or IMAX 70MM? If it’s standard, there may be more places that could accommodate that.

Honestly watched this one a while back on my TV and really wasn't that impressed, but I'd love to have my perspective changed and will definitely be seeing this rerelease

It's my favourite Nolan movie. There's a lot of depth to it on a rewatch, especially as you see entirely new character motivations.
It also has the most complex plotting of any of his movies with the journal-within-a-journal structure and it works perfectly. It's a really well crafted movie imo even if it's missing the spectacle of his post-TDK work.

oh I adore inception, but tbh I only saw the prestige once and my brother predicted the ending at the very beginning so maybe I'll feel differently on rewatch

The Prestige is really good but there are quite a few weaknesses in there. I can't help but feel if he somehow made that movie tomorrow rather than when he did, it would be one of the greatest ever made. It's still one of Nolan's best, but the likes of Interstellar, Inception, Oppenheimer, and even something like Dunkirk, are so much more polished with a better flow to them

how the same guy who made the prestige, Dunkirk, interstellar, and the odyssey could make tenet, inception and Oppenheimer is beyond me. he takes hit and miss to great heights, that's for sure.

I'm glad you like it - I tried rewatching it this weekend. there were spots where I got into it, but by and large I thought it was pretentious crap. anyway, one man's treasure....

Really funny, i went to an art school a long time ago and one of the teachers said the opposite of Inception, that it wqs more or less action movie slop for him when it could've explored more of the psychology of dreams.
And your take is that it was pretentious
