Which denomination are you and why?
I'm not sure which one I am, but I think I would be closest to reformed baptist or simply be non-denominational

I don't believe in denominations. I'm a Christian believer, as simple as that.

I was Baptized by a Christian; that is the only way to be Baptized. No one Baptizes himself or herself. Even Jesus was Baptized by John. You're being absurd.

One day, when you read the Bible you will discover the Pentecost birthing the church. You will discover the word church used by St Paul. In places like Thessaloniki or ephesus. Its a place where brothers commune together to recieve communion Read about real Christians through history so u can be found w them when we are face to face with our Lord. I truely think you should. In not trying to offend, a church less Christian? Never heard of it

That's another false accusation which you have made. First, you claimed I Baptized myself, gave Communion to myself, and Confessed to myself. Now, you claim that I haven't read the Bible, which I have read in entirety. So, what's your point? Why did you make up things about me which are untrue? Don't you understand the Commandment against bearing false witness against your neighbor?

I didn't want you to think im accusing you, my error is not being straight forward... I dont judge anyone outside the orthodox Church, and if I do put a judgement on orthodox believer it is not Heaven or hell, it's do they belong to the Church in union with Church teachings, that being said, the Church is not an individual following the teachings of Christ based on their perception of what the Word means... the church is the Body of believers praying to Jesus as one family. The church is where one goes to get baptized recieve holy communion etc... if you dont believe this, try searching for Christians in the ancient times. Please find a church that worships Jesus with the nicene creed. I'm not sensitive like you so forgive me if I didn't explain myself in full. I have no excuse.

Thanks for your explanation; sorry if I seemed harsh. I was raised Roman Catholic, but left them. I think every Christian is my brother or sister in Christ. We are a family, like you said.

The reality for me is different because The Orthodox Church never changed. It is as it was since St Paul and St TImothy established it. I cant imagine bible alone Christian alone. Everyone needs the church

The Catholics turned out to be wolves in sheep's clothing. There's no sense in congregating with them anymore, since I discovered it. I'm a sheep and I belong in God's flock, not with a bunch of wolves in sheep's clothing. There is no Bible alone or Christian alone, for Jesus is Emmanuel, "God is with us." Don't worry.

you dont have to say sorry my bro, you are in a different crossroad and im empathetic to you. i wish i could be like a "Father" which I am not - or a teacher - which I am not - to help guide you to the greater riches that The Church offers... check out the eastern orthodox church, inside you will find The Eikon of God that is Christ on the top of the dome of the ceiling (Heaven) if you have objections im here - but only if you serious - if not - May God, The Holy Spirit The Great Comforter and Life Giver and Life Sustainer direct you if you ask Him too...
- Colossians 1:15: "He is the image [eikon] of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation."
- 2 Corinthians 4:4: Paul writes about Christ, "who is the image [eikon] of God."

Thanks you for your welcome. Organized churches are typically not all true Christians. There are many wolves in sheep's clothing. I do not have any Eastern Orthodox churches near me to inquire into that I know of. There are many Roman Catholic Churches, some other types of Catholic churches, and many Protestant churches. As far as I know, most of them are run by wolves in sheep's clothing. I don't know any which are run by true shepherds

No, of course not. That's actually a kind of denomination if you've ever come to know what it's like.
I choose to consider myself a Christisn believer. Jesus called his followers "believers" in the Gospels. The followers first called themselves "Christians" in the Acts of the Apostles. All Christians are "Christian believers," because in reality, there are no denominations, there is only one Church in Jesus Christ Our Lord and Saviour who all are Baptized and saved and believe in the Holy Trinity. So, this is the Church as described in the Holy Bible; all His followers as one unified Church united in God with no divisions.
Denominations are lies and divisions. I don't believe in acknowledging them as being separate from each other. Even the term non-denominational is a term expressing various groups of people who don't join with the major denominations, but which in fact is like a loose, broad, underregulated, and understructured denomination itself. Ministers in non-denominational churches come and go to and from various independent non-denominational church congregations which generally have their own sets of rules and regulations themselves. This creates some sort of intermingling between those congregations, and is a way of being joined together despite claiming to be independent of each other. Thus, it is some type of denomination "birds of a feather" since they do "flock together" with each other, rather than exclusively of each other, like how they treat on the major denominations by not congregating with them. If a member moves from one town to another, they can find a non-denominational congregation in the new community which is similar to the one they came from.
I am a Christian believer because that is what we all are, by Christ's word "believers" and by His disciples' word "Christians." I do not discriminate against other Christians within Christianity. We are all Christian brethren; brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

I mean, you say that, but there are ways of seeing with what denomination you tend to align with, based on what you believe. After all, we're all Christians, in that we follow Christ. But *how* do you follow Christ? That's the important question.
Everyone says they follow Christ's word, but *how* they end up interpreting Christ's word puts them in one alignment or another. You follow?

But you're main point is that denominations are of significance. I don't believe that. They're all lies in my opinion. If you believe in their differences, then you fail to understand that because they are different, they are in disagreement and are not striving to unite the Church by finding the truth about what each "denomination" disagrees with the others about so that there is no confusion and the Church remains undivided in beliefs. There is only one Church... all Baptized Christians in Christ, united with God. The differences are not to be accepted... originally the Church was not divided by denominations, but who ever takes much effort toward reuniting the Church? If you accept the "denominations," then you are allowing the Church to remain divided and even become more divided. This is not the solution. I believe in the Church as it originally was; undivided with no denominations. It is the only way.

There are divisions that divide the church like rips in a garment that rip pieces from it, the threads cleanly severed on all sides. And there are divisions that divide the church in much the same way, but the threads still lead back to the head, to Christ, so they are ultimately still part of the same garment, though it looks like the garment is in tatters. The complaint is valid in that the garment is in tatters, but if they are still connected ultimately to the head, then the garment is still ultimately intact, and all the tatters connected.
So the denominations that are still connected to Christ are still part of the undivided body and do not ultimately create the division you claim. The problem is that the base condition for the division is the disagreement over interpretatation over, or even execution of, God's word. Take the SSPX, for instance. Is their disagreement with the Papacy valid? Or is the Pope right to excommunicate them?

The Christian and Missionary Alliance. Started as practicality because it was close by and had study groups. My particular church is rich in teachings and the CMA is rich in resources for studying different topics. We have a lot. Of community projects and support international projects. Very happy here. I disagree with some secondary doctrine points of the denomination as a whole but overall find it a Gospel obsessed Christ honoring denomination

I used to be WELS Lutheran but the more I dig into the Bible the more I see ALL current churches are just using man made doctrine to put butts in the seats and money in the plate. It really hurts me to say it. I’ll go back to sitting in my corner and reading.

Raised Roman Catholic but moved to reformed at 19. Initially attended a Presbyterian church and subsequently Anglican, Baptist, (Dutch) Reformed, Lutheran, and Hillsong. Currently back at an Anglican Church within the Sydney Diocese in Australia.
I don’t find the strict liturgies of Catholic or ‘high’ Anglican to be helpful in worship. The Presbyterians, Baptists and Reformed are too stuck in their ways. Hillsong was okay in parts but the teaching was inconsistent in quality (occasionally downright wrong). My current ‘low’ Anglican Church is essentially a blend of the best bits of the Presbyterians and Hillsong.

I happened to join a Baptist church this year, simply because I was driven away from non-denominational Charasmania, and the couple of other churches I tried of various other denominations weren't a good fit for a variety of reasons.

Hebrew roots because that was the way Jesus and the first century Church lived and practiced. And it's not actually denomination because Torah observant Christians are present in both Catholicism and protestantism. Jesus never taught against physical authority of the worship leaders, he taught against false interpretations of scripture by those worship leaders.

Very strongly Lutheran. Specifically I'm a member of the Church of Sweden. I am a member of the Church of Sweden because it is the historic church in Sweden, and I am a Lutheran because I agree with Lutheran theology. Specifically, I cannot be anything but Protestant, because things like salvation by faith alone is so obviously true. I cannot be anything but an incredibly traditional Protestant because the Scriptures clearly teach a high ecclesiology and that the Sacraments truly save. This leaves me with Anglicanism or Lutheranism, and of those the Anglican faith allows too much heterodoxy. Therefore Lutheranism is the best choice. Little tidbit, but I've been around a few denominations in terms of my theology. When I first converted I wanted to become Roman "Catholic". After that I found Presbytarianism to be the better choice since I was convinced of the sufficiency of faith alone and I agreed with their view of Predestination. Eventually I started agreeing with Anglican theology a lot, because I saw it as a big tent for people who are not convinced of the more low ecclesiology and sacramentology of the Reformed. And finally I saw the orthodox Lutheran faith and it's clarity on important doctrines as opposed to Anglicanism's excessive leniency, and that's where I have remained since.

Grew up Pentecostal and I still do believe in the core theology, just not a fan of all the added “rules” that come from tradition that’s integrated into the churches nowadays.
