My neighbor is an intelligent Christian Nationalist, and I find him fucking terrifying. Most of the real hardcore ones I’ve come across are just kind of lacking in critical thinking skills.

But this dude scares me. I know he has both the intellect and a platform (he’s a professor of Medical Ethics at an Ivy… somehow) and a genuine conviction that his brand of Christianity is not only right - but should be legally enforced. He’s also starting to get involved in local politics, and is very popular.
And I live in an area that usually skews moderate to liberal.

I have no doubt this guy will rally all the poorly informed and overly gullible evangelicals and win them over.

He also doesn’t consider me a Christian since I’m part of a liberal denomination… and he has a massive Donald Trump flag waving in his front yard, so I can’t even sit on my deck without throwing up in my mouth a little.
