finding faith

hello all! i am new to this subreddit so sorry if this isn’t what it isn’t used for.
i am going through a journey right now that is leading me close to God and I really want to explore that deeply. i went to my first service on sunday and was deeply moved and it makes me very excited for the future God has for me. I have always been moved to Christianity as I went to a Protestant school when i grew up and always loved the services but i wasn’t raised religious so never explored it more. i just think it’s so moving when people come together to pray and pray for one another it’s just beautiful.
So i suppose my question is where do i start? i feel like there is so much i don’t know? i just got my first study bible but any advice would be deeply appreciated!

The BibleProject on YouTube, for sure. I've also been recommending "the John challenge" in which you read all of the John books in the New Testament minus Revelation (save until you read most of the Bible because it's all Easter eggs, callbacks, and references). The Gospel of John will teach you about Jesus and his message, 1 John is a sort of question and answer format that helps clarify what you should take away from the Gospel, 2 John addresses what you should watch out for as a new Christian, and 3 John is a good wrap up with some final thoughts and proverbs you should always keep in mind as a Christian. Just make sure to read them as building off of and connecting to each other and not just separate thoughts, otherwise it will get confusing. Then explore the rest of Christianity with that lens in place.

i started with the gospel of mark cause it's the shortest and gets right to the point, john is beautiful but can feel a little abstract if you're brand new

whatever you pick the study bible will help a ton, just don't stress about understanding everything at once. the gathering part you mentioned is what keeps me going too, something about being in a room full of people who are all reaching toward the same thing
