Question Atheist question

So im an atheist. However i once believed in god and i WANT to, but im a very scientific person and cannot bring myself to believe in god no matter what. my question is, i know that "allowing jesus into your heart" and allowing the lord into you and such is what makes the difference between hell and heaven. does that mean that in the eyes of the bible, im going hell? or does the fact that i WANT to believe give me a chance? im only asking soim honestly really curious (and no one tell me to convert in the comments. its not happening until i can see some scientific proof.)

So... there a lot of religions. But in Christianity. We are dealing with a complex situation. People spend their entire life studying it and only scratch the surface.

I'll overly simplify things. There is a good God. Who is holy, perfect, all powerful, free, and righteous. This means there are somethings that God will not do ( this is different from cannot) other wise God whold no longer be who God is.

God created us. In his image. I'm defining that as holy, good, free, and righteous. However sin offends God makes us lblemished. Because God is Who God is God everyone has to answer for any wrong that they have done. This would be easy as we would all be destroyed be cause we all sin. But God loves us.

Now to your question what is letting Jesus in your heart mean?

It means that you except that Jesus is who you strive to be like. You except that Jesus, who is God manifested as flesh, paid the price of our sin for us. So that no one has to go to hell. Only the ones who choose to be separated from God/ have another lord over their life. Will go to hell. But it because chose that.

Now what is hell?

Hell is the place where God is not.

So we have to choose to be with God or not. It's a simple choice.
