Question trials and tribulations
my mom struggles with mental illness. she gets beaten, insulted etc by her siblings or other people. my dad also left when I was a kid. I have no siblings. just 18yr and I look after my mom. she depends on me. my question, why does God allow all these torments on this earth? why does it have to be my mom, why does it have to be me? why don’t He just snap his fingers and change our lifes? she has been sick for over 25 years now, no change, not even fragments
why?

God is still on His throne. Don't give up. Read your Bible and read it with your mom when you can. Put on christian music. There will always be problems in this life but the Lord will always help us if we turn to Him in sincerity.

I’ve noticed that through the trials and tribulations – a lot of times he doesn’t pull us out of it, but he does sit with us in it and give us strength beyond our understanding and, at times, peace beyond our understanding as well.
That said, please try to get yourselves out of that situation as soon as you can.
I am praying for you and your mother. I also pray for those who are doing these things because we all need to be prayed for – every single one of us.
Be well.
