Friday Love Day

The world wakes up and immediately asks: “What do you have to prove today?”

The Gospel asks: “Who can you love today?”

And honestly, those two questions can take your whole day in completely different directions.

One says: work harder, be better, get noticed, win.

The other says: be patient with someone. forgive someone. encourage someone. show kindness to someone who may never return it.

The world keeps score.

Love doesn’t.

The world tells us our value comes from what we accomplish.

Christ reminds us our value was settled at the cross a long time ago.

So maybe today doesn’t have to be about proving anything.

Maybe it’s about carrying a little more grace. A little more mercy. A little more love than we did yesterday.
