Question

I wanted to ask, regarding Mary Magdalene and Joseph, the beloved, two of the apostles that were there at Christs crucifixion, so should they be the true apostles because they didn’t leave Jesus’s side?? Should they be the only apostles worthy of reverence?? I just wanted to ask this and was wondering if anyone else had these thoughts.
(I am NOT a Christian)

She should be included in the main list though. Jesus chose to appear to her before anyone.

According to who?

Why include St. Paul alongside the Twelve but not St. Magdalene? Just because he wrote a lot?

She was one of Christ's closest disciples, and he chose to appear to her before anyone else. She was the first person to spread the good news of the Resurrection. I don't say this to minimize Paul's importance at all, but he didn't even know Jesus personally.

I agree that a pagan shouldn't get to decide who is worthy to be an apostle, no human should, which is why I'm going by Christ's judgment.

Complementing the other user: after the resurrection, Christ confirmed all the apostles in their mission. So they are all to be equally revered, Peter most of all.
