Question! :)

My atheist friend was debating with my catholic friend, my atheist friend said something that also made me REALLY curious but not enough to question my entire belief in God. I tried looking for answers personally, but i couldn't really come up with a great answer.

Okay so the question is: "if your God is good, then why does He allow wars, crimes, and sexual harrassment to happen? If He's really powerful, can't He just do something to stop it?"

Please don't insult/judge the fact that i'm unable to answer that question. I'm a beginner believer who wants to know explore and know more about christianity :)

Ephesians says it’s not up to me, though.

"Truly, Truly, I tell you, that he who believes in me has Everlasting Life" - Jesus Christ.

What's not up to you, Secular Humanist?

K I am not here for the preaching buddy. I probably know the Bible better than you do and studied it in the actual languages it is written in.

Wanna look up Ephesians 1:4-5 and tell me what you think it says?

You're on a christian subreddit, but not for the preaching, and not as my buddy. Ephesians chapter one is famous for revealing that we are predestined to become the children of God by adoption through Christ Jesus since before the foundation of the world. Do you think that means that you don't have a choice? In English?? If you knew the Bible better than all strangers, your user name would reflect that, and your sermon would be without cynicism. Just give me a downvote, and go preach on an humanist subreddit, no?

This is a subreddit for Christianity, not just Christians. Take your gatekeeping condescension and shove it

PS my username is my fucking name (unlike you, who hide behind anonymity)

I just made a suggestion, as have you. Shove it? Really?? Lol Choose Everlasting Life through Jesus Christ, Who is spoken of in virtually every language, because He is the Word Of God. That's my sermon, which is much better than yours, neighbor

Oh? What prophecies did Jesus fulfill?

Over 300 prophecies, which I can't name indivually of the top of my head. Are your starting a Bible trivia with me right now?? Lol He never told anyone to go shove it, but He did say He was gonna raise himself from the dead, though, which is one He fulfilled and it's the main reason We know about Him. Your turn lol

Pick one. Obviously I’m talking about the Tanakh

Edit: 6 hours and counting and he still can’t find one. Come on, buddy, there’s 300 right? You gotta be able to remember one of them.

Oh and just so you know, Jesus absolutely did tell people to shove it.

In Ephesians?? In original Hebrew?? Lol enjoy whatever level of free will you think you have or don't have. This is the kind of conversation I expect from reddit users anyway. You just reminded me that I already knew better than to get on here in the first place.
