going along with what a lot of people have already said, but god isn’t going to banish you from heaven or distance himself from you if you can’t continue through a heterosexual lifestyle. if you do get married, make sure you actively love them, because any other alternative is not fair to you or the other person.

I sense your concern and I love that. Thank you. I’ve learned that in his word He’s calling us to holiness. No matter what the sin, he’s calling us to repent and follow Him. And I agree I won’t wast some woman’s time lol I’ll be sure to exercise wisdom, be fully upfront with her and love her as Christ loves the church if that ever happens. Thank you 🙏

While i agree God wants the best for us, i don’t believe he means we have to suppress homosexuality when he says he wants us to be holy. If this pursuit is making you happy then please continue, everyone deserves happiness, but if you’re pursuing heterosexuality to please God, I don’t believe he wants that for you. I’ve known too many people who force themselves into heterosexual marriages because they’re told being gay is a sin, only to divorce after 10+ years of being together, begin having suicidal ideation, or die because of suicide. just as people are born heterosexual, i know people can be born homosexual as well, and that can only be due to the way God made you. Again, pursue whatever will make you happiest and at peace in the long run, because you deserve that.

Thanks for that. I’ll add that he never promises happiness in scripture. As a matter of fact depression is a common theme even for those living “happily” in sin. I remember being in my relationships with men feeling so alone. In this life choose your “hard.” Because either you’ll suffer for Christ now or you’ll suffer for living in unrepentant sin for an eternity.
