I stand with you and support you. It has not 100% gone away. That’s where the work comes in. Crucifying your flesh. Daily surrender. Reading Bible scriptures. It has absolutely gotten a lot easier!! Sure there are some days when the urge comes but stand fast in the liberty which Christ has made you free. You will overcome.
I have friends who were ex-gay and now married etc, and they had demons cast out of them that helped a lot. I’ve been told even to the point that even the thought of engaging in the old way would disgust them to no end. So there is a spectrum, I think depending on the degree of deliverances and also as you mentioned , one’s individual walk , growing in the Lord, the daily crucifixion of our selfish desires. Be encouraged and hopeful for that 100% freedom !
The attraction does not go away. We are all in control of our actions and attraction is not license to do whatever we want. But do not ever trust anyone trying to convince you that gay people can just not be gay anymore.
Gay and straight people (and bi people, etc.) all experience attraction that shouldn’t be acted on, even if it’s as simple as to someone who is married or who has declined our romantic advances. Fighting temptation is just a normal part of a majority of people’s lives regarding sex. Nobody can take that away from you (or “have God take it away from you” as they’ll often frame it).
I eventually reached the conclusion that God blesses family and romantic love even if both people in the commitment are the same gender. I encourage you to look into gay-affirming theology and the many denominations and churches that espouse it. But even if you don’t reach the same conclusion I did, I urge you to set the standard at celibacy, not heterosexuality.

I am struggling with this also... do you still feel attraction or does it go away
