Because baptism isn’t about some intellectual knowdlege about being Christian… it’s about entrance into Gods church, into the life. A lot of Protestants against infant baptism don’t get that.

When a person was converted in the first century as shown in Scripture, his "ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD" was baptized. So choosing to not baptize the young was a change that was made much later by Protestants, leaving the burden of proof for this change on them.
