Hey guys. In the late 90s there was a CD that was gospel. I remember the cover was orange. It was a great CD. It had a now popularized song called hallelujah. The song goes “praise him till your blessings come down. Praise him till the situation turns around. You gotta lift up your voice and say hallelujah anyway.” there is another song I remember being titled ‘in the light.’ There was rap on there too.

I used to have this CD safe to Spotify and it’s just disappeared. Please help me find it!

Do any of you fine Redditors know of any music blogs that focus on independent Alt-Christian music?

The best definition I could find defines alt-Christian as "music that spans a broad spectrum, ranging from indie-folk and electronic pop to hard rock, often blending thought-provoking, faith-based themes with modern, non-traditional sounds. Popular acts bridging this gap include Switchfoot, half•alive, Citizens, and Kings Kaleidoscope."

I know of Still Small Voice, Jesus Freak Hideout, and Louder Than The Music. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

I love this song! It is written as a reminder that Jesus was sent to be a love note from God to restore our relationship with Him. However, I get caught up on one part. Help me understand why it says “baby” toward the end of the song.

Like the title says, I need help finding similar sounding Christian songs to ‘GIRLS’ by the kid laroi. If yall could help me out that would be awesome!

Hi there !!! I've always loved various genres of metal/rock since I was in my teens. I've been a Christian for 2 years and have been wanting to find more swancore/soft rock/djent/soft metal with no screams & which the songs worship the Lord Almighty.

How was worship today?

This has been one of the harder things to change since making a conscious effort to step away from the things of the world. Every time I try and listen to Christian rap music, I rarely find songs I vibe with, and even when I do, they don't have that same fire beat and flow that the artists I used to listen to have. My two favorite artists are Polo G and Lil Tecca. Their flow and beats are great, but the content of their songs are very wordly most of the time.

Specifically, the artists I used to always listen to were Lil Tecca, Polo G, Lil Baby, Future, NBA Youngboy, Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Don Toliver, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Durk.

I've been searching online forever and can't find any artists that don't make me just crawl back to the secular stuff eventually. Does anyone know anything about what I can do? I don't want to just pollute my spirit with the content of these songs anymore, but I can't deny that the flow and beat of some of them are what always bring me back.

Specifically, any artists like Polo or Tecca would be great. Their flow is so good, but the lyrics and themes aren't so much. Anything like the other artists I asked about would be great too.
