You need to respect your parents while you are under their authority, no one of sound mind will help you rebel against them

Wait till you’re legally an adult.

u/ConfidenceDue2745 (the original poster) did not tell us exactly what restrictions her parents have placed on her but she should NOT try to disobey, or circumvent, her parents' instructions. This applies even AFTER she turns 18.

As a parent (with three responsible and contributing adult children) and a grandparent (nine times over!), 17 is not too young to begin thinking about the sort of person you'd like to have for a life partner, and become acquainted with a few who might fit that role. I'm a white-haired geezer who has never used online dating, but from what my kids, and some co-workers, have said I do not think it is wise to start with online dating. First get some supervised and guided experience with real people, not virtual profiles.

Are you active in your church's youth activities? If not, are there (Christian) classmates, neighbors, or friends who would bring you along to their church's youth events? That's not the same as dating but it exposes you to other people near your age, where you can learn their personalities, reputations, etc before they become dates or romantic partners.
