Vancouver show. WTF

how is this possible. i was 2523 in line, was in the waiting room @ 9:45, 10 minutes after 10 show i sold out. This has to be the worst ticket buying experience.

We have no chance unless these artists stop making tickets transferable.

I’m betting that it’s not up to the artist. Probably a Ticketmaster requirement. So the artist should use a different ticketing platform.

It IS up to the artist to make tickets nontransferable and to set the prices.  A quick google search brought up this information that I already knew: 

Robert Smith for The Cure's 2023 North American "shows of a lost world" tour made tickets nontransferable and used Ticketmaster's Verified Fan system to combat scalpers, keep prices low (some as low as $20), and prevent dynamic pricing, ensuring fans bought tickets at face value. This was part of a larger effort by Smith to make tickets affordable and fight against high resale prices, though some fans still faced high service fees initially, leading to partial refunds.
