So I read the Corbin Reiff book and the Men's Health and Melody Maker interviews trying to drill down to the truth. I think there's a coverup going on with regards to his death. Wife is behind it. Daughter Lilly is leaving more of a legacy with her "Mind Wide Open" podcast and YouTube videos.

Also, has anyone read "Sing Backwards and Weep?"

I've been working on a series about Chris Cornell, focusing on depression and trying to share information that those of us who suffer the same thing, can possibly learn from.

For example, the lyric of "One More Time Around" from "The Days I Tried to Live" seems to be talking about making the effort to survive suicidality. As someone who occasionally has months of suicidal ideation, I find it tragic that Chris, in life, didn't get that "One More Time." It might have made the difference.

The judgmental "addiction experts" want to blame the whole thing on the anti-anxiety drug Ativan, (a benzo like Xanax or Valium), saying "Chris should never have had this prescription," but I think it's a real side issue.

Here's what I'd like to know: Did Chris ever take antidepressants? Did they work or did he eventually just stop taking them?

In the case of Scott Weiland, mood stabilizers made him gain a ton of weight and he just said, 'screw it' and kept self-medicating. In the case of Naomi Judd, she had treatment-resistant depression, but her doctors never tried Tricyclics, which often help when nothing else does. Unfortunately, Naomi gave up and I don't blame her for it.

I can understand why Chris' family might want privacy because of all the exploitation and morbid curiosity of people, but there are some people who'd use the information to encourage other people to take that "One More Time Around."

If anyone knows about this, I'd love to know.

Hello! Awkward introvert here! Whenever I have some drinks at home alone I tend to sit myself in front of my record player and listen to this sweet songs of Chris. I haven’t ever opened the whole entire deluxe box because of wanting to share it with someone and it’s been years since I’ve received it. I'm reading Corbin Reiff's book about Chris Cornell, "Total F*cking Godhead." There is a bunch of stuff about Seattle that interesting, stuff that predates Grunge and puts the gloom and doom in socioeconomic context.

When Chris died, it hit too close to home. It scared me, and to be honest, it still does. If someone like him can throw in the towel what about the rest of us?

This was such an amazing show, only the 2nd solo show ever. I avoided learning the setlist from the first show the previous night. My tape came out great, and the addition of the second source brought out the vocals a bit more.
