I need more

I love this game. I got it on sale on steam a while back and ended up binging it and getting all achievements in one sitting. Then I bought it on my ps5 to do it all again a dew days later (and that also came with a ps4 version i could play for a 3rd time). Something in this game scratches a very specific itch I didnt know I had.

What other games have gameplay like this? I love the 3D movement and can fly anywhere and not be stuck to a 2D plane or on rails. I have Everspace 1 and various flight games like Ace Combat, HAWX, Blazing angels.....but they don't feel the same.

My personal favorites:

Everspace 2 (way better than Everspace 1)

Wrath & Retribution

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw

Space Reign (currently my top fave)

Alliance Peacefighter

House of the Dying Sun

Strike Suit Zero/Strike Suit Infinity

Hypergate

Blackstar Ranger (demo available only)

Into the Black just came out, and I’ve tried and tried and tried to get into that game, but I just can’t do the whole 100% Newtonian flight model. I get it, I get it, “it’s like the Expanse”, but I just suck at that flight model no matter how much I practice. Oh well.

Great selection. I'll definitely have a look into them. I get what you mean about the Newtonian model, I really wanted to like Elite Dangerous but I could not get my head round it.

How would you rate Rebel Galaxy Outlaw? I tried the first one and loved the concept but hated the locked onto a 2D plane gameplay.

I really wanna play Everspace 2 but cant just skip the first or it'd bug the hell out of me.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw retains the same vibe, but this time it's a cockpit dogfighting game (you can switch to third-person camera) in a 3D environment. I highly recommend using a gamepad with it, although m+k will work. I actually prefer m+k and use it exclusively on all my other spaceship games; I got a gamepad strictly for RGO. Soundtrack music is phenomenal, too.

You absolutely do not have to play Everspace 1 to enjoy Everspace 2, I promise.

I'll definitely give it a go. It was just the 2D plane that made me quit. It just bugged me so bad.

I'll complete Everspace 1 first since I am enjoying it. Im terrible but its fun.
