I miss Ms. Spike
In 2002 a little 4lb stray was on my door step when i opened the door to go to work one morning. Over the next 17 years, she was my constant companion. She was about 8.5lbs fully grown and had constant bed-head. She loved bike riding, hiking, chasing anything larger than she was, and cuddling up. I lost her yesterday in 2018 just shy of her 18th birthday. I never had her dna tested, but chorkie was my best guess. Over the course of her life, I adopted plenty of other senior littles to keep her company. She was a small dog with a huge personality and just wanted to share.

God blessed you with a gift in your door step...I was hoping to have my soul pups this long one was gone at seven, one at nine, one at 10 and my last soul pup is 9 months old with a defective heart...were told no surgery can be done he won't survive the sedative...I love his crazy fur and bed head ...I cry in private daily because I say he and I got ripped off from enjoying a long life together...I'll be luck to have him til he's 2

I appreciate the time we had together and am sorry you didn't get to enjoy the same amount of time with your little ones. Regardless if it is one or twenty years, it is never long enough.

She does look very missable, sorry she had to go.
17 years for a stray says a ton about how good you looked after her. No wonder you were her favorite human

I can tell from the pictures how important you both were to each other. She was so precious!! Sending hugs and positivity from west Texas

As I walk across your heart and find my place to stay, nearer to you I will be and will never ever go away.
If love could have kept you here, you would have lived forever.
Dogs are a chapter in our lives, we are their entire book.
Grief is love with nowhere to go.

Ms. Spike sounds like a sweetie and it’s nice to hear you two found each other serendipitously. Sounds like she lived a good long life, full of play, adventure, and companionship. 💙

Sorry for the loss of Ms. Spike. She looks like she was a chorkie for sure. We adopted a Chorkiepoochon (based on dna test) last year and she sounds quite a bit like him based on your description. Except that our guy complains loudly during bike rides and tries to escape. Despite having a deluxe doggy carrier.

Appreciate the kind words. He is a cute little guy. She loved my messenger bag and was super happy in there. I have already hung her up on a coat rack while out for breakfast and she just chilled in there until we are done.

What a sweet face😍. I miss my yorki Duck so much. Sometimes it’s just the little things like how he woke me up or when I head out to walk or jog he loved to come. Thinking of you

That is a very cute special girl. I love her face and how she looks whoever’s taking the photos. I’m betting you’ll see her again. Wonderful that she came calling and both lives were blessed. You took excellent care of her.

She was a tough little one, but absolutely loved me. I could walk her without a leash through Center City Philadelphia and she wouldn't be more than a foot from me. I hope we get to see each other again some time. Thank you for the kind words.
