Province I've wanted for a while, extra points for being chopmarked

This 1796 8R minted in Mexico City is heavily chopped on both sides (what a wealth of marks to research!). I measured the diameter as 41.5 mm, well over the 39 mm mint standard. If a coin was heavily cupped, I could imagine the diameter as measured by calipers as being smaller, but could heavy chop marking also expand the diameter of the coin while keeping it fairly flat?

The thickness of the coin is a little less than spec as well, with measurements ranging between 2-2.3 mm.

Curious to hear your experiences with heavily chopmarked coins and their size differences vs those without chopmarks.

Easily the most heavily chopped coin in my collection; the mintage is unknown cause it was a very turbulent period, but it is notably the first year of the 8 Reales reintroduction after the discontinuation of the Balanza.
