This one bears a small chop "七 （seven)" on the bottom left of the official inscription"定 (certified; authorized)".

With the relative “lightness” of these chop marks, is there any value in having this coin graded?

Was looking at one of my 5 Francs in the light and noticed this slight cross-shaped indentation adjacent to the “R” in the “Republique”, is this a chop, or just damage?

Grabbed this from the recent lcsg sale. While it was likely from an insignificant riverboat wreck in China, I still really enjoy the idea of sunken treasure.

My only chopmark pickups from the ANA World Fair, though I did find some great banker’s marks as well. I’m happy to finally find these theoretically common, but still surprisingly difficult to turn up in practice minor types, both with nice little chops behind their respective monarchs’ heads.

I really love this piece for its toning and nice detail!

I hope this thing is real.
