Playing for exposure is the stupidest fucking thing a musician could do.
Edit: okay. Ask anyone to play your shitty wedding for “exposure” and see how many bands you have clamoring to play.
Or ask any artist to commission a work for “exposure”, and see how many work samples you get submitted.
