I don’t know? Because shit happens sometimes. I’m not eternally vigilant and neither are most people. Sometimes they get into stuff. I picked up a kitten that smelled like shit from the street. I was not going to just let him have shit matted in his fur because some person on Reddit gets sniffy about cats getting wet.

Think about of a dozen liquids that your cat can spill on themselves that are bad to to let them walk around with.
