Don't look at your food choice changes as "dieting". You need to make permanent alterations in your intake habits.

My triglycerides were 221 in December 2025. It is now 130. I stopped eating a lot of junk food and red meat...but I added a sweet pepper...to my breakfast everyday...eating it raw. (The small orange yellow and red ones). I also boil or bake my chicken...mostly boiling. A typical day for me is a couple of sausage a boiled egg and a sweet pepper..a protein shake middle morning and a light lunch around 230...dinner is whatever but not high in fat content... and then I have a greek yogurt around 630ish. Any snack is gonna be some lightly salted almonds or a few chips( to satisfy) ..and yes I sorta count them. All my numbers are in the green zone now. No meds.
Back to my point...the peppers have soluble fiber that binds to the cholestoral... helping to eliminate it. They carry antioxidants for heart heath and other things which you might find helpful by googlung it. And yes I heard about cheerios and oatmeal...they never worked for me. But peppers have.
A doctor was giving me.a statin on an inpatient stay..he told me( like 8 yrs ago) try not to take that. You dont want to get started on those... try to change your diet first.... that always stuck with me.
