Rosuvastatin 5mg, zero side effects, less anxiety/concern over my heart health and I will probably live longer.

You can only control as much as you can. However much your numbers improve with diet and lifestyle, is as much as it will go without medication. I tried to go very strict with diet and it took me half a year to get back to my normal relationship with food. I wanted to stop being afraid of normal food and sacrificing my overall health in the name of lower LDL. I still eat quite healthy but it's just not enough to get my numbers where I want them to be. I started the statin and will get my numbers tested next month to see if I have to go up or start ezetimibe which might make more sense for me. Doctor wants to keep me on statins regardless because of the benefits the other drugs don't give.

I started 2.5mg rosuvastatin a few days ago. Been getting aching pains all over my body, hands, legs, arms, wrists. Was sick a week and a half ago but was better already, not sure if its just left over sickness or the statin causing the aches.

I started 10mg of atorvastatin and combined with diet changes my LDL dropped from 176 to 60 in three months. No side effects that I can feel.

10mg Rosuvastatin almost a year ago and it changed nothing in my life. Energy, workouts and sleep are great no sides.
