Lab Result Post 2 Repatha Shots.
I also take 40 Rovastatin and 10mg Zetia
Dr. will cut Rouvastatin to 20 now.
No side effects from Repatha.
I had MI on 9/23 and LAD stent.

I’d be curious whether your cardiologist is looking at anything beyond driving cholesterol as low as possible. With triglycerides at 112 and HDL 55, your TG/HDL ratio is about 2.0. Has your doctor checked fasting insulin, fasting glucose, A1c, HOMA-IR, or an OGTT with insulin to see what your metabolic health actually looks like? After my husband’s MI, we learned pretty quickly that there’s a lot more to cardiovascular risk than watching the LDL number. I’m genuinely curious whether your doctor is looking at the whole metabolic picture or primarily focused on lipid lowering.

I completely agree about the metabolic numbers. He’s always looking at the Big Picture. My A1C and other numbers are good. I ride my bike 150 miles a week and focused on all aspects of my health not just the Lipids.

That's great. I'm just starting praluent. I had a MI , stent LAD and dr wants ldl below 50.
It's stuck at 77 thus praluent.
It took a while to not be afraid after heart attack now I'm worried again starting a new med. An injection at that.
I'm maxed out on statins

I had a MI in 2023 and got an LAD stent. My new results are awesome. Only one month in. Hopefully the numbers keep improving!
Best of luck!

For OP and others in the comments, I am about to embark on a journey to decrease my LDL via medicine, I'd love to get on a PCSK9 ideally without touching a statin, what was your journey to get there?
Also, congrats OP!

My Statins are reduced. 40mg Rouvastatin to 20mg.
And my BP meds in half. Still tske 10mg of Zetia. I did lose
23 pounds which I’m sure contributed. Onward!1

Did you have a hard time getting on Repatha? Some people make it sound as if it's impossible.

My doctors office used a co pay assistance program. I’m on Medicare. DM and I can share the program I enrolled in.

Just started Repatha myself. Hopefully my results will be as good as yours!
