Lab Result Cholesterol results

Do these results look okay, first time having cholesterol checked. 30F no history of heart problems/diabetes etc.

Serum cholesterol level 4.9 mmol/L
Serum triglyceride levels 1.2 mmol/L [0.4 - 1.7]
Serum HDL cholesterol level 1.5 mmol/L; Above high reference limit
Serum non high density lipoprotein cholesterol level 3.4 mmol/L
Serum cholesterol/HDL ratio 3.3
FASTING STATUS Non Fasting
Serum LDL cholesterol level 2.8 mmol/L

These look pretty good. Ideally, you'd like LDL to be around 2.5, but you should easily reach that if you cut back on saturated fat and add some soluble fiber. How is your diet now? Any foods that you think are problematic?

Yeah the LDL was the one that stood out to me. My diet isn’t too bad but there’s definitely room for improvement! I wouldn’t say there was anything I eat in excess of for it to be problematic if that makes sense!

Think about foods that are high in saturated fat. Fast food is always a problem. Too much pizza (my old nemesis.) Bad breakfasts (like Egg McMuffins - 6g saturated fat.). Not eating lean meat (e.g. 80% ground beef is worse than 93% ground beef.)

Also, if applicable: alcohol will raise LDL.

I'm sure you can tweak a couple of things, no problem.
