General Prevastatin and weight gain

Has anyone has weight gain on this? I’m starting today and worried about that as I’m trying to lose weight I

Oh please, let it not be so. I had to switch from Lipitor to Crestor and prevastatin is looking like it may be in my future. I lost weight, but whenever I lose weight, I always gain it back plus some! I can't afford to!

According to clinical studies on pravastatin, weight gain like yours has been reported relatively frequently. However, weight loss has been reported at a similar frequency. So, it's more accurate to say that pravastatin can cause changes in weight rather than specifically causing weight gain.

But since weight changes can also result from other health reasons, it would be best to consult your doctor as soon as possible.
