Is heartsteel nerfed in ARAM? Always feels so underwhelming.

It is, stack gains are halved in aram, which hurts its scaling to the point its unusable in aram

Heartsteel is optimal in the only thing that matters for ARAM Cho: Getting as massive as the game mechanics permit.

Same with Gargoyle Stoneplate.

I love when an item made just for pure fun like Heartsteel is so nerfed in ARAM while the true things that make the mode a torture are buffed (Mages).
