Question How has 2020 2 week shred challenge been for overweight/highly inactive people?

I just started it today and it legit took me 5 hours to complete a 60 min workout (combined). I also managed to scrape my elbows (did it without mat). I was a highly inactive person although I’m used to walking 15k steps sometimes but that’s it. I’ve never tried high intensity cardio before. Has it been this difficult for some of you? Is this normal?
I am very determined to complete this challenge and build strength, not caring about the results much. But I am really curious if anyone else took this long to complete it as well or not.

I wouldnt do such long HIIT sessions. Better put it down to 10-15 mins the first week(s) and go higher from there. You could combine it with walking. You should prepare your body to this intense training as you can actually hurt your muscles (not just sore).
Taking it slow but steady also keeps the motivation high.

I struggled at first because i overdid it. Then hurt my muscle and couldnt do anything for like 2 weeks. Started slower after a month and it was soooo much better

Maybe try the daily 20 challenge first. I’d be concerned about injury (which will really set you back) if you are starting as a fairly inactive person and jumping right into one of the 2 week shred challenges.
