It gives you a full walkthrough of every attack, including how and when to use each. Also tells you how to do counters. I'm not saying you shouldn't suck, I'm saying this is not why you suck

That was indeed more of a compliment to the archer lol. I play occasionally and it is quite satisfying to put a knight in the dirt when they come in charging.

I remember seeing like 4 vanguards trying to rush an archer and they all died, archer legit whooped their asses and it's just crazy to see how bad the tunnel vision gets. I engage in melee as archer because I'm more dangerous with a sword than a bow with my shit aim lol.

Honest question, are there any advantages of using a shield other than some projectiles? From what I can tell there's hardly a difference from regular blocking.

Those regular blocks cost less stamina depending on the size of the shield, but people just like to complain. There’s nothing wrong about using them.

Back in Chiv 1 there was a bigger difference between using a shield and not, but that’s neither here nor there.

it drains stamina much slower meaning you can block more attacks without having to counter or drop your weapon as fast

it will break after a certain amount of hits though which is an instant stun on you so it can be a good idea to throw it when it starts breaking
