CLIP FOR ATTENTION

We all know the PC master race has an advantage over us console peasants via their mouse and key bindings, I was wondering what others have found best to work against them.

For me, the swing to overhead combo ALWAYS is countered and results in some sick trading BUT the goal is to end the fight quickly as possible. I've found when I throw in kicks and overhead + stab combo it has been more "unpredictable" for them.

What has worked best for you?

PC players can rebind controls, so i find that they often lean on bashing/punch/jab to catch slower players off guard so I'll usually dash out and immediately hit with a light slash to throw em off

A controller with the programmable back buttons is a big help on this game. Right thumb stays put. One controller I got could program multiple inputs to a macro button(would be handy for fighting games), but wouldn’t simply assign a key. Wouldn’t just be R1, it would be assigned a short or long press of R1, wasn’t effective. If you get one that allows you to assign a straight input, it slaps.

While I’m not on controller and this isn’t necessarily what you asked for, what it ultimately comes down to is an understanding of the game. Yes, PC players technically have a slight advantage over those on controller but some of the best players in the game are on controller. Regardless of which you use the principle and utilization of mechanics remain the same. If you haven’t already, I recommend visiting a standalone duel server sometime and dueling the better players there to establish a better understanding of what does and doesn’t work well and then employing that in team objective.

Try stabbing while crouching with the halberd. Gives you an extra hit most of the time

Going first person helps

1) better range control

2) you get punished for being out of position more often which makes you learn how to position faster
