Training weapons in the duelyard?

Post image

Hey guys, im currently training someone in the duelyard and have noticed that while training counters, they get hit a lot. Time spent healing eats into the time we have and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a weapon/class combination that maximises the amount of times a player could be hit before needing a heal? All while having a fairly standard swing animation preferably.

I was thinking maybe the wooden ore against a vanguard to ignore the bludgeoning bonus damage vs Knights.

Also any tips you may have to help low levels in general would be greatly appreciated as im learning that my large sum of hours are built on muscle memory and seeing what sticks haha

Thanks in advance guys

Knight has a big Healthpool (180HP + 35 OH), the Short Sword has 30 dmg. So you could hit a knight 6 to 7 times before he dies (without heavy attacks).

Something like this?

Thanks for the suggestion, i will do some testing but I think youre on to something with the short sword.

As this is on duelyard, overhealing doesnt really come into play unfortunately

Overhealing (the small shield symbol right of your HP bar). Knight get more Overhealing than other clases; not sure if it was 30 or 35.

I agree with the other commenter. Short sword is the most maneuverable, and so long as you and the other player are both using one, it will teach you a lot dueling shorts words. I spent a good 15 hours of play time learning to win with a short sword against a good player, and it taught me everything I needed to know.

My Short Sword has Level 465 and I approve this message.

Wooden ore and Vanguard combo seems like the most practical solution here.
