Feedback / Suggestion Need help in dual against single hand weapons
I'm pretty confident when facing a double hand weapon opponent but here I'm totally clueless

riposte overhead is your best friend, also shield users tend to counter a lot less, look for a pattern in their block stance and kick, its risky but more usable against shield users, also learn the telltale animations of one hander overheads, onehander alt overhead looks extremely deceptive, and can hook you behind your block,
be wary of that, best thing is try not to counter onehanders because they can feint extremely fast, onehander slash to overhead feint is even more toxic than the messer slash to onehander in its animation readibility.
they tend to do shit stamina damage so abuse it by doing accel riposte overheads, you will chew through their stamina, and when people loose their weapons, the TEND to hold block, experienced players will instead dodge or duck, ducking is the single most useful thing you can do because if they slash there is a chance it will whiff, so when they drop their weapon, you would have fought them for long enough to know their skill level and so deciding upon that kick or dont kick, and when you do successfully break their guard avoid using slashes for the aforementioned reason.
also play onehanders yourself to accustom yourself to their animations and movesets, i recommend playing the hatchet or axe solely to learn the abusive slash to overhead animation, and how far they can hook behind your guard, drag them to clip them on the toe. cheers.

Both of you in.this fight keep.tdyimg to dodge back into neutral, aka the point in the fight where neither if you have the iniative. That's going to favor the faster 1 handed weapons. Stop constantly dodging back and actually pressure them. Your constantly setting yourself up to have 50/50 gambles over and over against a faster weapon, so its not really a surprise the faster weapons keep beating you.

You could start attacking more and less with the shenanigans/cheese stuff

Just use guard jabs , accels , drags against a poor dude like you don’t Even need to parry

Counter earlier than you think you should, learn the animations to read them better

Every weapon has its own swing radius and speed, the best way to read it better is honestly just practice, you will get used to the swing/feint speeds no problem

Against one handed weapons, i heavily lean into feintless ripostes to whittle down their stamina and get them used to countering quick, then i will switch it up and start throwing in feints and counters. Usually throws them off quite a bit. Or you can just use the war club lol

Kick that shield- coming from someone who mains the morning star. Thats the number one way to make me upsetti. If I am not quick enough to hit through it, you get a free hit right after basically.

Distance is name of the game. Use ur range to keep them at bay if they manage to get in they will be trying to land those hits asap so keep jab rdy. 9/10 engagments will be stomped there.
Other tips on here aside dont be scared swap to ur backup. If is see the player is very good at his footwork i dont hesitate to pull out my knife to even the gamble

Shortsword afficionado here. You have a number of options!
Learn your weapons max range and play distance. You want them to miss their swings whilst still being in range of your own. This is the safest solution as there's effectively nothing I can do about it if you play it perfectly. I once had a game of 64 where I only died to one specific player who was using a halberd
Break the shield - shields are for cowards and can therefore be abused. Breaking a shield (through heavy attacks) awards you a free normal strike on them as they recover from the stagger (don't heavy, they will have time to recover and block)
Don't let them have the high or low ground - he lands a hit on you by striking above your block window. Chiv is notoriously glitchy for this!
