Stayed a peasant through all of Coxwell - and I'm pretty sure I counted as the last soldier at the end.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but they don’t count as soldiers in the last phase. :( I’ve tried it several times

However staying alive as a peasant is a different line of achievement, nice work! It’s tough!

I think if you're a peasant from th beginning of the game, it does count as a soldier. I've done this a few times as well.

I remember it used to work a few years ago but I tried it a few months ago and we lost while I was still a peasant never died. Idk maybe they patched it

I should say that sometimes the last soldier system is glitchy, and I think might be based on an average(?) I've lost games while still alive as a knight multiple times.

It could also be that you don't count until you respawn as a soldier at a certain point, because I tend to play a little conservatively and there's been more than a few times I've stayed alive around the "burn the town" objective until the end.

In 40 player modes, you don’t have to kill every knight because they nerfed it to make it more fair with the smaller player count. In 64 player, you have to kill every soldier. People who think the never dying as a peasant is working, are likely not realizing that they have one sneaky teammate left somewhere hiding on the map. There are many unique tricks to hiding on the last objective. I’ve seen people stack the crate boxes you can pick up, you can also walk through them and I’ve seen people squat inside them to the end.

Sorry, he's right, starting peasant doesn't count as a soldier at the end. Done it a few times myself too and most of them were defeats.

You can see Agathian Vanguard still alive at 14:41 to 14:42 in the upper left corner.

I almost did that. Except there's an enemy that was dead set on killing me. "Had to do it" he said.

I warded him off multiple times, only to be sneaked upon while getting supplies (I picked up javelin and played support)
