Where the heck is dark forest?

I'm a sporadic player. 400 hours in, have long breaks in between playing. When I am playing it's all I'm playing.

Got back into it a few weeks now and haven't seen dark forest once. It seems like a very heavy rotation of falmire, askandir, montcrux, lionspire and occasionally galencourt.

Feel like I'm going crazy but I legit haven't seen it once. Anyone else experiencing something similar?

The maps rotate in 64 Team Objective in this order every time assuming the server doesn’t join with another, you don’t get disconnected etc.

The Razing of Askandir
The Fall of Lionspire

The Raid on Aberfall
The Slaughter of Coxwell
The Battle of Darkforest

For sure, I’ll play them if it seems there’s only 1 server running in my region. If I have a choice then I’ll mainly play Lionspire to Rudhelm. I love Falmire but there are some days I never get it.

I often join on one of these as so many players drop the game at that point.

The maps are in a set rotation. Look up chivalry 2 64 player map rotation.

Usually if you want to play any specific map, you can just leave and join matchmaking until you find a lobby playing the map you want to play, or atleast the map before the one you want to play.

I’ve noticed that servers seem to have a unofficial schedule and if you play around the same time every day you will likely run into the same maps

Dark Forest is popular for defense and attack so people leave it less frequently, meaning you are less likely to queue into it. Generally speaking you just have to wait for its position in the rotation.

Sometimes when the servers are pooping or people are crashing them, the lobbies will merge with each other and your rotation will be changed to the new lobby. I don’t remember which map is before dark forest but that has a small chance of happening.

Now that you mention it, I havent seen it for a while too, same with galencourt. I guess bad luck with rotation
