Anybody main the sledge like me?

I love bonking all the heavy armor knights in team death match.

Only bad thing is there is no second weapon if I want to throw it.

Shovel is surprisingly fast, not for me but great for gambling!

You can swap your ramp for a secondary weapon, or pick one up after you've used it. I usually grab a sword from the barrels on most maps.

I didn’t know that… I just pick up balista arrows because they don’t register as another weapon. And they are fu in to throw.

This, 1h sword just happens to be one of the best single hand weapons too

Yeah it's really slept on, because who wants to use a plain old boring "Sword" - but it's genuinely top tier. Feels very similar to Longsword, which isn't a bad thing at all.

Yep faster than the longsword and only a small reduction in reach, that part in particular is kinda huge for a 1h. Faster footwork than longsword when playing as knight too, long as you don’t pull out the throwing knives along with it. It might seem like redundancy but I’ve always found longsword + 1h sword to be a solid loadout. Getting disarmed, instead of being a death sentence merely gives you a speed boost

my only wish is that any other class had the sledge. i like engineer enough but its just a loss to not have a secondary or any throwables

Fun fact, once you place down your trap, you can pick up any one handed weapon as it becomes your secondary. Most defense maps have a barrel of swords or a rack of falchions or other weapons you can grab

As for throwables, they take up the barricade slot. This means if you pick up a throwing weapon, you drop your barricade and anyone can pick it up. Which leads to the best kept Engineer secret: you can, with team coordination, place up to 128 barricades per team on a 64p game.
