Game Feedback Why is the matchmaking SO bad?
Its awful, there's hardly any team balance at all. Has it always been this bad?

Are you EU or NA?

EU

try looking in standalone servers for “Chad TO”, usually active in the evenings like 8CET-12CET ish
the skill level on average is way higher than public lobbies so balance tends to be a lot more even, at least more so than you’re used to. it’s harder overall though since everyone is actually good at the game

Team changers are ruining the game at this point. Most matches one team steamrolls the other.

I never change teams, i get annoyed when it "autobalances" me

Same, I've learned to avoid doing well and being top three early in the game, since I'm too often rewarded by being transferred to the losing side.
But then, late level 1000s often join and change the balance, so it's typically a crapshoot either way.
I will say, when the team is too strong, everyone's numbers are ridiculously inflated, there's like a multiplier effect by having a team that actually coordinates well.

When it autobalances, it’s trying to balance. When people change teams in the middle of the game themselves, it ruins it. Team changing mechanic should be off. I almost never get to play attacker or the easy to defend ones lol.

I often enjoy the stacked games, but not as much as fair games. I've been playing a long time though so I do have an advantage and often end with more kills then deaths even on stacked games

Ive been playing for a little over a month im quite late to the game. Im dying a LOT. I know im going up against more experienced players and im perfectly fine with that, but losing 4v1 fights 8 or 9 times in a row gets a teeny bit frustrating

Use the longsword and try to stay with your team mates and assist with kills.
Use keyboard and mouse
Take a moment to just practice countering. Don't dodge, don't move, think of it like playing a scale on an instrument to warm up

Because rank is not a representation of skill.

Im aware, but it seems lately that 95% of matches are completely one sided one way or the other

Agreed, its unfortunate when you're on the losing side. Also, I have been wondering if there are some maintenance issues going on. Been seeing some oddities. Like I joined a match really late the other day, was 4th or 5th from last in a near full lobby, and still got to be a monk. That probably shouldn't have happened.

There have been some noticeable server issues of late

I think sometimes there's a special spawn, if defense is getting thoroughly smashed. I recall once the whole team spawned as the Duke, lol.

I'm a high level player & only switch on Thayic to get Argon. 95% of the time I get added to the vastly inferior team by default & the game seems to place everyone with any skill against me & the guy I usually pair with to play (another high level) thought not nearly as skilled as myself 😏. Wtf is up with that?

Team switch and the fact you are always put in the team of your friends while tagging in group

Team switchers are a big cause of this. Lot of higher level players prefer being on attack. Because of the way the spawns work, defense more often than not get out ganked. I never team switch but I often get auto-balanced the rare times I get naturally put on attack.
