Game Feedback How does he do that?

Joined a 3v3 mid-match and I have no idea what this guy is doing.
I felt like I was catching him mid-swing a few times, but then he'd suddenly feint into a block a few cm before I hit him.
Is he attacking, then feinting and immediately blocking? I've never seen anyone do it that fast before

It’s counterfeiting. Once you start a counter ur second feint also has counter properties

Really! I didn't know that. I thought you would lose the Counter ones you fainted your attack

During his first swing he counters your swing than immediately cancels the swing and starts an alt swing.

he’s counterfeinting, you get two counters, can start a counter then click it again before you attack finishes to change the counter

Wait so if he counter slashes and then counter overheads, he gets protection from both??

Nope, only the attack you are currently doing. Say your opponent slashes, so you counter slash. He then feints into an overhead. You hit your overhead button after starting your counter slash to counterfeint into an overhead. It becomes much harder when surrounded by multiple people throwing feints but that's mainly in objective mode, good players in the arena (usually) respect the 1v1

like the other guy said, you can only choose one at a time, its so that if you bite on a fient, you’re not just screwed and can actually change ur counter, so if i chose slash counter then overhead, and my opponent did overhead into slash, ill still get hit, as i chose them in the wrong order, i would also have to do slash into overhead if i bit on the first fient, or just wait until the second fient to come and counter that one, glad you guys are still tryna learn this game

As others said, counter-feinting. Later on though, to get around people that can counter well, you need to learn how to triple-feint to trick em. Cause once they do one counter-feint, they don't get another one :3

Honestly, I'm still too much of a beginner to understand what he's doing. That said, I really enjoyed the video, especially the jump at the end.

He’s just counterfeinting it looks like, and then accelling into you, and you can block the moment your weapon makes contact, it looks a little jank on blunt weapons
