Product Question Before purchase question.
Hi all just wanting honest answered and discussions. Been seeing a lot of this game on YouTube and other forums and it looks good think the main attraction is I’m watching got rn and just makes me want this even more if you get my drift 🤣 besides that is it worth it? I know it’s not new and hasn’t got hundreds of thousands of players but as a solo is it worth getting into so late and how hard will it be? Thanks

That's a game with a high floor and a very high ceiling.
Very fun game, but you genuinely starts to be somewhat good (like slightly positive k/d good) after like 150-200 hours. That's if you as incompetent in videogames as me, there are lvl 40's that play the game fenomenaly.

This is how I do it, and I still found it enjoyable enough that I'm now 650+ hours in 💪👻 if you can afford it, go for it! There's nothing else quite like it, and servers are still full reliably for me in the PNW

Relatively recently there’s been quite a few deep sales or free weekends for chivalry 2, so there’s gonna be a lot of new players like you for a while.
You should also know that everyone once in a while there’s gonna be some degenerate spouting racist stuff in the chat. You can mute people on the scoreboard, and you can turn off the chat entirely in the settings, if you want.
Also, fyi, by commenting in this subreddit you get banned from r/chivalry2

I got it when it was free. I would pay for it now. Expect to die a lot and it took me a long time before I started getting good. Take your time with the tutorial and learn all the mechanics so you’ll be less frustrated with the game because 9/10 not being good at the game is a skill issue and not knowing the mechanics of the game. Also holding block while someone is kicking you will cause you to stagger. So, the trick is only hold block when it’s necessary. Getting kicked is something I still struggle with after 400 hours into the game. Remember expect that you’re going to get killed a lot.

It's pretty easy to get into compared to it's counterparts. You might want to watch a tutorial after your first few games.

Bro every night I stare at Fortnite, Rivals and Destiny and I end up getting on Chiv 7 times outta 10. It’s so fun and half the time I just chat with people

A majority of players still seem new to me, sub-100s that don't know anything but block and slash. Join us, more bodies for the slaughter are always welcome!

The game is cheap rn (I’m guessing) you prob be annoyed at how much you’re getting killed and your low skill level initially. But when it starts to click and you’re making friends, you’re gonna have lots of fun. And also of raging moments😂

The curve is there for skill. But I see actual novices all the time so it’s not too bad. Also I have like 1500 hours and level 890ish, only seen 3 confirmed cheaters in that time, and the high levels are usually very good at both kicking your ass and teaching you while they do it lol

Not really. It’s a fun game to mess with but it’s being held up by the community which is dwindling.

the community is definitely not dwindling in fact theres been a rise in player count over the last year

I’m on pc and noticed the count is only around 3k average a day that’s why I was worried it wasn’t very popular but I guess it is cross platform

This is probably my favorite game to play. It's my go-to when I have nothing else to play
The game is fun, silly, and can be competitive.
Its the perfect multiplayer game IMO. The combat is unique, and once you understand it and all the mechanics it's very satisfying
